Kevin Hammons was named President and Interim Chief Executive Officer of Community Health Systems effective October 1, 2025. In this role, Mr. Hammons is responsible for strategic and operational priorities of the Company, and providing oversight and direction to the senior corporate and regional operations leaders who directly support our affiliated markets and related acute and ambulatory offerings. Prior to being named Interim Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hammons served as Community Health Systems' Chief Financial Officer from January 2020 through September 2025, first as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and, from February 2021, as President and Chief Financial Officer. Hammons joined Community Health Systems in 1997 and has held numerous financial leadership roles during his tenure with the Company, including overseeing accounting and financial reporting, SEC reporting, budgeting, design and implementation of financial systems and processes, capital market transactions, corporate finance and treasury management functions and the Company's divestiture program. Prior to being named Chief Financial Officer, he served as Senior Vice President, Assistant Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. He also previously served as the Company's Chief Accounting Officer.
Prior to joining Community Health Systems, Hammons served for ten years in various positions in the Assurance and Advisory Services practice at Ernst & Young, serving both public and privately held companies.
Hammons holds a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from Malone University in Canton, Ohio, where he also previously served as a member of the board of trustees.
